Job Description: Greenacre Recruitment are working with a social housing provider in the Coventry/Daventry and Northampton area to source a Stock Condition EPC Surveyor on a permanent, full-time basis.
Job Description:
To help drive performance across our property portfolio, and to ensure the integrity and reliability of our data is maintained in order for us to meet the compliance requirements around stock condition and asset management. You will undertake surveys, relating to the condition of housing stock, that will inform strategic investment decisions, in addition to determining the age and lifetime of key building components to help us build long term planned programmes of work. To assess the energy performance of our properties, you will also undertake RdSAP energy data surveys and lodge these through an accredited body. This will contribute towards the wider strategy of achieving EPC Band C for our portfolio before 2030. To help us ensure we meet our statutory requirements such as Decent Homes or HHSRS you will have an understanding around such legislation and be able to carry out a dynamic risk assessments to ensure our homes are safe for our customers. Working collaboratively across the rest of the strategic asset management team and the wider business through our processes around providing on our stock data and dynamically to ensure any identified repair issues are facilitated through the proper channels. Through your direct involvement with our customers, you advocate the values.
Essential Candidate Requirements
Educated to HNC, NVQ3 or higher in a property related subject or relevant professional qualification
Experience of delivering stock condition surveys and EPC surveys and be DEA assessor qualified
Experience of performing HHSRS assessments
2+ years industry experience of carrying out stock condition surveys, attributes and lifecycles
A knowledge of environmental and property legislation, focusing on housing is essential.
A high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility and a selfmotivating approach. • Ability to think analytically, to apply skills and knowledge in new contexts, and to problem solve.
Ability to communicate with customers and be a good advocate of its values.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through oral and presentational skills as well as excellent writing skills.
Good team working and leadership skills.
Experience of using a range of I.T. packages (including Excel, Access, Word etc.)
A high performing self–starter, able to motivate both themselves and others in the Strategic Asset Management team.
