Maintenance Engineer – Up to £60,000 – Continental Shifts – Electrical Bias

Are you an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer looking for a new opportunity with an established manufacturing business offering a salary package of up to £60,000?

M-Tec Engineering Solutions is recruiting multiple Maintenance Engineers for a busy, high-volume manufacturing facility in Droitwich.

Working within a multi-skilled engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and fault finding on injection moulding machinery, automated production equipment, robotics and associated plant.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a well-paid, permanent position within a technically challenging manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical fault finding on automated manufacturing equipment

• Reactive breakdown maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

• Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery and automated production lines

• Maintenance of injection moulding machines, robotics and ancillary equipment

• Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faults

• Working with motors, drives, sensors, inverters and control systems

• Supporting continuous improvement, root cause analysis and equipment reliability initiatives

Skills and Experience Required

• Electrical bias with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent qualification

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Experience maintaining automated machinery within a manufacturing or production environment

• Working knowledge of PLC fault finding, hydraulics and pneumatics

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings

• Comfortable working a continental shift pattern covering days and nights

Desirable Experience

Experience with injection moulding machinery, plastics manufacturing, robotics or automated assembly equipment would be advantageous.

Knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLC systems would also be beneficial.

Engineers from other high-volume, automated manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.
