Site Manager – High-Rise Residential New Build

£55,000–£60,000 per annum

The opportunity

A leading residential developer is recruiting an experienced Site Manager for a high-rise new-build development in Manchester. You will join an established operational team and take responsibility for safely delivering allocated areas and work packages to programme and quality requirements.

The role

You will coordinate daily site activity, subcontractors, logistics and inspections, ensuring information and resources are available when required and any delivery risks are raised and resolved promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations and allocated construction packages.

• Coordinate subcontractors, labour, deliveries and site logistics.

• Monitor progress against programme and support short-term planning.

• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and agreed quality standards.

• Carry out inspections, maintain site records and support completion and handover.

• Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks and safe systems of work.

• Maintain excellent health, safety, housekeeping and environmental standards.

• Liaise with the Project Manager, design team and commercial team to resolve issues.

• Build productive relationships with subcontractors and the wider delivery team.

About you

• Previous Site Manager experience on high-rise new-build projects is essential.

• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, quality control and site safety.

• Confident managing subcontractors and multiple work packages.

• Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.

• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are expected.

• A construction-related qualification is advantageous.

• Salary of £55,000–£60,000 per annum + Car allowance

• Permanent position.

• Manchester-based high-rise development.

• Expected project start in early Q1 2027.
