About the Role

We are recruiting a Student Support Coach to join a training provider in the justice sector, supporting adult learners within a prison education setting. You'll work alongside tutors to help learners stay engaged, build confidence and overcome the barriers that have held them back from education in the past.

Many of the learners you support will have had difficult experiences of education, so patience, empathy and a genuine belief in their potential will matter as much as any formal expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group coaching support to adult learners.

• Helping learners set and work towards personal and educational goals.

• Working closely with tutors to monitor progress and address barriers to learning.

• Encouraging engagement, motivation and positive behaviour within the learning environment.
