About this role

Fire Risk Assessor | London & South East | Growing Fire Safety Consultancy | Excellent Career Progression

An established risk management and fire safety consultancy is looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join their growing team, covering London and the South of England.

With an existing team of five Fire Safety professionals and ambitious plans for expansion, this is an excellent opportunity for a confident Fire Risk Assessor who can hit the ground running, manage their own workload and play an important role in the consultancy's continued growth.

The business is looking for a technically strong Fire Risk Assessor who enjoys working independently while benefiting from the support of a close-knit, experienced team.

The Fire Risk Assessor's Role

  • Carry out comprehensive fire risk assessments across a variety of premises throughout London and the South.

  • Produce detailed, accurate fire risk assessment reports in accordance with current fire safety legislation.

  • Identify fire hazards, evaluate risks and provide clear, practical recommendations.

  • Manage your own diary, site visits and workload independently.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, providing professional fire safety advice.

  • Support the continued development and expansion of the Fire Safety division.

The Fire Risk Assessor

  • Proven experience working as a Fire Risk Assessor within a consultancy or similar environment.

  • Relevant fire safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH Fire Safety, Level 3/4 Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent.

  • Professional registration with the IFE, IFSM or a recognised fire risk assessor register would be advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant British Standards.

  • Experience completing fire risk assessments independently, from initial inspection through to final report.

  • Excellent communication, report-writing and time management skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and the South.

In Return?

  • Opportunity to join a growing and ambitious fire safety consultancy.

  • Work within a supportive, close-knit team of experienced professionals.

  • High levels of autonomy and responsibility.

  • Genuine opportunity to develop alongside an expanding Fire Safety division.

  • Varied projects and an established client base.

If you're an experienced Fire Risk Assessor looking for greater independence, a growing business and the opportunity to make a real impact, this could be the ideal next step in your career.
