Contracts Manager

OCS are currently working with a well-established specialist RC Frame, Structures, Civils & Groundworks contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has progressed through an engineering background and has developed their career into Contracts / Project Management.

What are they looking for?

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in RC Frame and Groundworks, with the ability to manage projects from both an engineering and commercial perspective.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong experience delivering RC Frame / Groundworks projects
• A background in Site Engineering / Civil Engineering before progressing into management
• Experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Manager
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, foundations, substructures and groundworks
• Experience managing multiple projects and site teams
• Strong programme and project delivery knowledge
• Good commercial awareness
• Excellent client and subcontractor management skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
   

The Role

You’ll be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects predominantly across the Home Counties, with occasional London-based projects.

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Commercial Managers, clients and senior management, you’ll take responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing multiple RC Frame and Groundworks projects

• Overseeing Project Managers and site teams

• Monitoring programme, progress and project performance

• Maintaining strong client relationships

• Managing resources and delivery requirements

• Working closely with the commercial team

• Identifying and resolving technical and operational issues

• Ensuring high standards of quality and H&S

• Supporting the business with continued growth and future projects
