Position: Project Manager - Engineering Services
Job ID: MFJ24
Location: Stockport
Rate/Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Type: Permanent / Full Time
HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Maritime Shipping, Energy, Subsea and Fire & Security sectors.
The job description below outlines the position of Project Manager - Engineering Services.
Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager with an engineering background to oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of technical service projects within the marine, power generation and industrial sectors.
The successful candidate will manage projects from initial enquiry and quotation through to planning, execution, completion and final invoicing. This will involve coordinating engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with customer expectations.
The role will involve managing a varied portfolio of engineering service projects, including maintenance, repairs, overhauls, upgrades and long-term service agreements for large mechanical equipment and power systems. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management skills with commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
A strong technical understanding of diesel engines would be a significant advantage, particularly for candidates with experience in marine engineering, power generation or heavy industrial equipment. However, this is desirable rather than essential, and candidates with strong project management experience within a relevant engineering environment will also be considered.
HSB Technical's client is looking for someone who has:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with an engineering background to join a well-established organisation supporting the marine and power industries.
The role offers the opportunity to manage technically challenging engineering projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and take responsibility for project delivery, commercial performance and customer satisfaction.
Candidates with experience in marine engineering, power generation, industrial equipment or field service operations are encouraged to apply. A strong knowledge of diesel engines would be an added advantage, particularly for projects involving engine maintenance, servicing and overhauls.
