Principal Systems Engineer

Copello Global are seeking a proactive Project Engineer / Systems Lead to support a major avionics radio communications programme as it enters the qualification phase. The role will be joining an existing project team on an initial 6 month contract.

You’ll take ownership of engineering work packages, lead qualification activities, coordinate cross-functional teams and drive technical issues through to resolution. You’ll also support design reviews, manage engineering changes and ensure compliance with technical, quality and regulatory requirements.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong systems engineering experience across requirements, verification, validation and configuration control.
• Use of Polarion (would be highly advantageous)
• Experience of defence, avionics , radio products or airborne systems
• Systems Engineering experience across LTE, Datalinks or Modems
• Proven experience delivering engineering work packages and supporting qualification activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving and technical leadership skills.
• Engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Due to the nature of the position the successful candidate will need to work onsite 4 days a week. Role is inside IR35 paying circa £80 -£90 per hour.

Role will require SC clearance or ability to obtain SC clearance.
