Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Shunter Driver to join TATA Steel at its Shotton site. This site-based role involves vehicle movements across the site, including vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs, with a weekly rotation between day and night shifts.

The role also involves driving and operating a gully sucker wagon, emptying septic tanks and tipping off waste.

Key Duties

• Carry out on-site vehicle shunting across the Shotton site.

• Drive and operate a gully sucker wagon, emptying septic tanks and tipping off waste.

• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently.

• Work within a weekly rotating day and night shift pattern.

• Maintain high safety and operational standards at all times.

Requirements

• Previous HGV driving experience is preferred but not essential; expired licences will be considered.

• A full UK driving licence is required.

• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts.

• A reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach.

Shift Pattern

• Day shifts: 7am-5pm.

• Night shifts: 6:30pm-4:30am.

• Weekly rotation between day and night shifts.
