Financial Accountant

Working as part of an established finance team, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, supporting accurate financial reporting and contributing to the ongoing development and success of the organisation.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

• Support the smooth running of transactional finance operations, helping to ensure accurate and timely financial processing
• Maintain confidence in financial records through reconciliations, control account reviews and oversight of asset information
• Contribute to the preparation of management and statutory reporting, financial returns and audit information
• Help strengthen financial governance by monitoring controls, compliance requirements and funding-related activity
• Provide analysis, process improvement ideas and guidance to finance colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

• AAT qualified or qualified by experience, ideally with progress towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification
• Experience across transactional finance, financial controls, management accounting and statutory reporting
• Sound technical accounting knowledge, with a commitment to continued professional development
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and communication skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively
• Competent in Microsoft Office and comfortable providing support or guidance within a finance team
