Rate: £400 per day (negotiable for the right candidate)

Location: Argyll, Scotland (Craig Murrail and Crarae Substations)

Working Pattern: Site-based – 50 hours per week (10-hour days)

Are you an experienced General Foreman with a strong civils or building background, looking for an immediate contract opportunity?

We are looking for a General Foreman to join a major infrastructure contractor, covering annual leave across two substation sites in Argyll, Scotland, through to the end of the year.

You will spend the first five weeks at Craig Murrail Substation before moving to Crarae Substation for the rest of the contract. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on site and making sure works are delivered safely and efficiently.

Job Role

• Overseeing day-to-day operational activities on site
• Conducting daily briefings with the site team
• Ensuring safety standards are maintained across the site
• Coordinating general construction duties
• Working closely with the wider project team

Requirements

• Proven experience as a General Foreman or Foreman
• Strong general civil engineering and/or building experience
• Experience delivering site briefings and managing site safety
• Substation experience is desirable but not essential

This is an Inside IR35 position offering £400 per day, with the contract running until 23 December 2026.
