Associate Transport Planner
About this role
Associate Transport Planner
Birmingham
The role
This is an Associate Transport Planner role based in Birmingham city centre with a respected independent engineering consultancy. It's a chance to step up from delivering projects to helping steer the business.
You'll run your own portfolio of development-led transport projects, lead project teams, and act as the go-to contact for some of the UK's leading developers and architects. As an Associate, you'll also have a real voice in how the business grows. You'll win new work, shape bids and frameworks, and help set the direction of the Birmingham office.
If you're a Senior or Principal Transport Planner who wants more ownership, more client responsibility and a clear step towards leadership, this is that move. And if you want to go home at the end of the day knowing you've achieved and delivered something, you'll fit right in.
Why this opportunity stands out
At this level, helping to shape the business is part of your everyday work, not a box to tick at appraisal time. You'll build and own your client relationships and see schemes through from first brief to planning consent. The work is varied and high-profile, covering residential, logistics, healthcare, education, leisure and commercial development across the UK. Everyone in the team has a personal development plan and a clear route to the next level. Rewards are linked to your individual contribution and backed by an end-of-year bonus, so the effort you put in is recognised.
