Commercial Gas Engineer - Social Housing

Location: Central London / West End
Rate: £330-£340 per day, depending on experience
Type: Subcontract / Self-Employed

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a social housing subcontractor working across Central London and the West End.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, qualified engineer with strong commercial gas experience who can work independently and deliver a high standard of service across social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out commercial gas servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs.

• Diagnose and resolve commercial heating and boiler issues.

• Attend reactive call-outs and provide cover when required.

• Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and industry standards.

• Complete job sheets, service reports and relevant compliance documentation.

• Deliver a professional service to residents, clients and site teams.

Requirements

• Relevant commercial gas qualifications and valid ACS certifications.

• Proven experience working on commercial gas and heating systems.

• Experience within social housing or similar environments is advantageous.

• Own vehicle and full set of tools.

• Valid Public Liability Insurance (PLI).

• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

• Flexibility to provide call-out and cover support when required.
