Manufacturing Engineer

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking for your next long term opportunity? Our client is a well-established precision manufacturing business supplying high-quality components into the aerospace industry. They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer, someone who is experienced with machining/ creating machining programmes to cut metal, worked within a highly regulated industry and someone who has managed NPI.

Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

• Attend daily operations meetings, resolve manufacturing issues and support improvements to production processes.
• Produce and maintain manufacturing documentation, including drawings, work instructions, SOPs and set-up packs.
• Support new product introduction (NPDI), including cost estimates, manufacturing routes, customer approvals and tooling requirements.
• Create and validate CNC programmes, ensuring production meets quality standards, cycle times and efficiency targets.
• Drive continuous improvement through LEAN activities, root cause analysis, PFMEA and working with suppliers and customers to resolve issues.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Experience working in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing environment.
• HND or higher in Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, manufacturing methods and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, ideally SolidWorks/CAM, and confident using Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
