At Operam Education Group, our purpose is simple: creating learning capacity in the classroom. When a school has the teachers, support staff and leaders it needs, children get the time, attention and opportunities they deserve. That’s the impact we’re here to make.

Across our eight education recruitment brands, we work with schools and multi-academy trusts throughout the UK, recruiting across the whole school workforce. Behind every placement is a story: a classroom that keeps learning, a pupil who gets the support they need, a professional who finds the role where they can make a difference.

We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to help us tell those stories.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Social media and events support every part of our business. It builds our brand presence, helps schools and MATs find us, connects education professionals with their next role, and attracts talented people to join our own teams. From first impression to final placement, your content will play a part in putting the right people in the classrooms that need them.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Creating content with purpose

  • Planning, creating and scheduling social content across eight brands, keeping things consistent while reflecting each brand’s identity and local presence
  • Bringing our impact to life by showing the difference our people make to schools, pupils and their communities
  • Developing creative ideas that attract education professionals, generate enquiries from schools and MATs, and promote our internal vacancies
  • Designing eye-catching graphics and visual content in Canva
  • Trying new formats, trends and creative approaches to help our brands stand out
  • Working with our recruitment teams to uncover stories, campaigns and content opportunities
  • Tracking engagement and performance, producing monthly reports and using what you learn to make the next post even better

Supporting wider marketing and internal comms

  • Helping plan, promote and deliver careers fairs and jobs fairs
  • Keeping our office screens fresh, relevant and engaging
  • Contributing ideas and support to marketing campaigns across the group
  • Staying on top of social media developments and spotting new opportunities

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You don’t need years of experience. We care more about your creativity, enthusiasm and potential. Ideally, you’ll have:

A degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience

A genuine interest in social media and how different platforms reach different audiences

A creative mindset and the confidence to suggest fresh ideas

A good eye for design and experience with Canva

Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt your tone for different audiences

Good organisation, with the ability to juggle multiple brands and deadlines

A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on feedback

The confidence to work with colleagues across the business to find great stories

A belief that education matters, and an interest in helping schools thrive

WHAT YOU WILL GET FROM US

This is a brilliant first step for a graduate or early-career marketer. You’ll work closely with our Marketing Manager and gain hands-on experience across social media, content creation, reporting, campaigns and events. As your confidence grows, so will your responsibility.

With eight brands to work across, you’ll have plenty of room to test ideas, learn what resonates and see exactly how your work contributes to our wider goals. Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team whose work helps keep classrooms learning.

Ready to make an impact?

If you’re creative, curious and excited to use social media to make a real difference in education, we’d love to hear from you.
