Sales Account Manager

Henfield area with plenty of parking available for all staff on site. Due to rural workplace with no nearby public transport links, you will need to be a driver and have your own vehicle

Full time permanent role - Monday - Friday 0830 - 1730. Office based.

£29000-£30000 per annum plus very good all round company benefits. There is also a very achievable company bonus scheme in place. Once you have passed your three month probationary period, you can join the departmental commission scheme, which can see earnings rise to around £36000 per year and above. My client is looking for a motivated team player with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. There will be no cold calling involved in this role.

The role will mainly involve the management of existing client accounts, upselling and warm calling to existing clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive team player who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, identifying commercial opportunities and delivering exceptional customer service.

The role - Sales Account Manager

As an Account Manager, you will take ownership of an allocated portfolio of customers, managing enquiries, developing existing accounts and identifying opportunities to increase sales. You will be a key point of contact for customers, ensuring they receive a responsive and professional service while helping drive business growth.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts
• Build strong relationships with customers and maintain regular contact
• Handle inbound enquiries, quotation requests and orders
• Prepare and issue accurate quotations
• Follow up on quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversion
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products
• Develop dormant and low-spend accounts to increase revenue
• Make proactive outbound warm calls to existing customers
• Resolve customer queries relating to products, pricing and deliveries
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service
• Support the achievement of individual, team and company sales targets
• Attend some customer meetings, trade events and industry exhibitions when required

Experience, skills and competencies required:

• Previous experience in an Account Manager, Internal Sales, Sales Executive, Business Development or Customer Account role
• Ability to achieve targets and KPIs
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organisational and time-management abilities
• Confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to work
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
