Plumber – Property Maintenance

Location: Wyton, Henlow & A1 Corridor
Salary: Up to £36,982.40 per annum, depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join a well-established property maintenance company, carrying out planned and reactive repairs across military family housing in Wyton, Henlow and along the A1 corridor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified plumber with experience in domestic maintenance or social housing to join a long-term contract, helping ensure properties remain safe, functional and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and minor installations.

• Diagnose faults and complete effective, timely repairs.

• Repair and replace taps, sinks, toilets, pipework and associated fittings.

• Undertake planned, reactive and emergency maintenance works.

• Complete plumbing and repair works in void properties to prepare homes for re-let.

• Support with general property maintenance duties where required.

• Use PDA/mobile technology to update job records and work orders.

• Ensure all work meets health and safety, quality and customer service standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Plumber within domestic maintenance, property repairs or social housing.

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fault-finding and repair techniques.

• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing, or equivalent, is desirable.

• Experience working in occupied and void properties.

• Confident using a PDA or mobile technology.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Existing DBS and security clearance, or willingness to undertake the necessary checks.

• Right to work in the UK.

• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
