About the Home

We are recruiting on behalf of an established care provider seeking an experienced, passionate and dynamic Registered Home Manager to lead a medium-sized residential care home in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.

The home currently holds a Good CQC rating and provides high-quality, person-centred residential care within a supportive and well-established environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Residential Home Manager to take responsibility for a successful service, maintaining high standards of care while continuing to develop the home's performance, reputation and quality of service.

The home benefits from an experienced Deputy Manager, a well-established senior care team and excellent staffing levels, providing the incoming manager with a strong foundation for continued success.

With a competitive salary of up to £70,000 per annum, this position offers the opportunity to lead an established residential service, supported by an experienced and hands-on senior leadership team.

The Role

As Registered Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operational performance of the care home, ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care in a safe, welcoming and person-centred environment.

You will provide strong leadership to an established team, maintaining the home's Good CQC rating while promoting a positive culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the daily operations of a medium-sized residential care home.

• Maintaining and continuously improving the home's Good CQC rating.

• Ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures and company policies.

• Providing effective leadership, guidance and support to the Deputy Manager and wider care team.

• Promoting a positive, supportive and high-performing working environment.

• Maintaining excellent standards of person-centred care, dignity and resident wellbeing.

• Overseeing staffing levels, recruitment, retention and team development.

• Supporting the ongoing development of the home's occupancy, reputation and operational performance.

• Building positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.

• Working closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the continued success of the service.

About You

We are looking for a confident, experienced and motivated Registered Home Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing residential care services.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Registered Home Manager within a residential care home.

• Experience managing a medium or large residential care home.

• A strong track record of maintaining or improving CQC ratings.

• Experience successfully managing CQC inspections, ideally under the latest assessment framework.

• Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and care quality standards.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and retain an established team.

• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

• A proactive, hands-on and supportive management approach.

• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care.
