KS2 Class Teacher

An opportunity has become available for a Key Stage 2 Class Teacher to join a primary school in the Leatherhead area on a long-term supply basis.

We are seeking a confident and adaptable teacher who can deliver stimulating lessons, encourage independent thinking and help pupils build the knowledge and skills needed for the next stage of their education.

The Role

• Teach engaging and well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity and independent learning.
• Assess children's progress and provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Adapt learning activities to accommodate different abilities and additional educational needs.
• Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere with clear behaviour expectations.
• Work closely with parents, support staff and the wider school team to promote pupil success.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching Years 3, 4, 5 or 6 within a UK primary school.
• Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment methods.
• Is confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining pupil engagement.
• Has strong communication skills and a flexible, professional approach.
• Holds an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one.
