An exciting opportunity has become available for a dedicated Early Years Class Teacher to support a primary school in Leatherhead on a long-term placement.

We are seeking an enthusiastic educator who can bring fresh ideas into the classroom, encourage independent learning and help children grow in confidence.

Your Key Duties

• Providing high-quality teaching that supports children's learning and development.
• Designing stimulating activities that combine structured teaching with play-based learning.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and social interaction.
• Identifying learning gaps and adjusting activities to help children progress.
• Maintaining accurate observations and assessments.
• Building effective relationships with families and the wider school team.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has previous classroom experience within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Demonstrates a sound understanding of early childhood development.
• Is confident delivering phonics and early mathematics activities.
• Has a patient, adaptable and approachable teaching style.
• Holds an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one.
