This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who can confidently set and operate CNC turning machines, producing high-quality components in a busy precision engineering environment.

CNC Turning Setter/Operator Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating Doosan Puma 4100B CNC lathes fitted with Fanuc controls
• Running existing CNC programmes and making minor adjustments, primarily to offsets
• Machining repeat production components, predominantly steel, approximately 200–300mm in diameter
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Carrying out in-process inspections to ensure components meet quality standards
• Maintaining consistent production quality and working independently

CNC Turning Setter/Operator Requirements

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC turning machines
• Experience using Fanuc controls
• Ability to make minor programme adjustments and manage offsets
• Confident reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment
• Good understanding of quality control and in-process inspection
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

CNC Turning Setter/Operator Working Hours

• 45 hours per week
• Factory operating hours: 6:00am–6:00pm
• Overtime available, including Saturday mornings
