Yard Operative 

• Pay: £12.71 per hour

• Hours: 7:15 - 15.45

• Contract: Temp to Perm

• Location: Braintree, Essex

We are recruiting for a Yard Operative to join an established engineering company in Braintree on a Temp to Perm basis.

Yard Operative Responsibilities

• To keep the yard clean and organised

• To load and unload materials from lorries and trailers

• Assist with inventory management

• Operate various yard equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks

• Assist with general maintenance tasks, such as painting and repairs

• To follow all safety procedures and guidelines

• To ensure the general housekeeping is always tidy and a safe working environment

• To correctly and safely use the yard tools on site

• To support in building towers and flat packing towers when required

Requirements

To be successful in this Yard Operative role, you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar role

• Ability to work unsupervised

• Ability to lift heavy items safely

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent organisational skills

• Excellent communication skills
