As a Supply Teacher, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning, delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive classroom environment where pupils can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with school plans and curriculum requirements.

• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.

• Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.

• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Take registers, supervise pupils and carry out general classroom duties.

• Work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers and support staff.

• Monitor pupil progress and provide appropriate feedback where required.

• Follow school policies relating to safeguarding, child protection, data protection and health and safety.

Requirements

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

• A positive, flexible and professional approach.

• The ability to adapt quickly to different school environments.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupils' welfare.

• Good organisational skills and confidence using ICT.

Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), English as an Additional Language (EAL) or other additional needs is desirable.

An enhanced DBS check and appropriate safeguarding and safer recruitment checks will be required in line with the role and current guidance.
