About this role

Are you a passionate Level 3 Early Years professional looking for a rewarding role that offers a better work-life balance?

We are recruiting for a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner / Room Leader to join a welcoming nursery setting on a term-time-only basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional who loves creating meaningful learning experiences, supporting children's development, and making a positive difference during their most important early years. Whether you're an experienced Practitioner or a confident Room Leader, this role offers the chance to thrive in a supportive, child-centred environment.

You will be:

  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children feel happy, confident, and supported.

  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate, play-based activities in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Observing, assessing, and recording children's progress to support their individual learning journeys.

  • Acting as a key person, building trusting relationships with children and their families.

  • Supporting children's personal care, hygiene, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Promoting positive behaviour, independence, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, and nursery practice.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, communicating effectively with parents, and participating in ongoing professional development.

  • Supporting the wider team and taking on room leadership responsibilities where appropriate.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification, demonstrate good knowledge of the EYFS and child development, and have strong communication and teamwork skills. We are looking for someone caring, patient, reliable, and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.

All applicants must meet the nursery's safeguarding and safer-recruitment requirements, including appropriate DBS and suitability checks.
