Registered Manager

Connective Careers is recruiting for a Registered Manager in Coventry.

Pay: £55,000–£65,000 per year
Contract: Permanent

About the role
Take responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day management of a children's residential home in Coventry. You will create clear expectations for the team, maintain safe care and ensure that each child's needs and progress remain central to how the home operates.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the home, keeping children's safety, wellbeing and individual progress at the centre of decisions.
- Lead, supervise and develop the staff team, promote consistent practice and address performance or practice concerns promptly.
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding responses, incident reporting and accurate records.
- Work with families, social workers, education and health professionals to coordinate support and review outcomes.
- Maintain quality assurance, inspection readiness and effective systems for staffing, resources and continuous improvement.

Essential requirements
- Normally at least two years of residential childcare experience within the last five years, including at least one year supervising or managing staff.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, an equivalent qualification, or active progress towards it.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding, children's home practice, care planning and Ofsted expectations.
- Confident leadership, clear written records and the ability to make calm, accountable decisions.

Preferred
- A full driving licence is preferred.
- Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager, including quality assurance and inspection preparation.
