Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for greater project variety, new commercial challenges and the opportunity to work across established infrastructure programmes?

ABS Commercial Solutions is expanding its commercial team and is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support projects across Scotland.

We provide commercial management and quantity surveying services to contractors and utility providers across the UK. Our work spans a variety of infrastructure projects and frameworks, giving our professionals exposure to different clients, contracts and delivery environments.

The opportunity

You'll play an active role in the commercial management of utilities and infrastructure projects, helping maintain financial control, manage contractual obligations and support successful project delivery.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Managing project costs, budgets, forecasts and financial reporting.

• Preparing and assessing applications for payment and interim valuations.

• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and commercial accounts.

• Monitoring variations, change control and commercial risks.

• Administering contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are managed effectively.

• Supporting commercial negotiations and resolving financial or contractual issues.

• Preparing cost reports, valuations and final accounts.

• Working closely with project managers, delivery teams, clients and subcontractors.

• Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance and protect project margins.

What we're looking for

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a contractor, consultancy or similar commercial environment.

• A solid understanding of commercial management and cost control.

• Experience in utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering would be advantageous.

• Knowledge of contract administration, variations, valuations and final accounts.

• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

• The ability to manage priorities and work effectively within project teams.
