Quality Control Inspector

IRS Group are recruiting a Quality Control Operative to join a food production company mixing and blending raw and dry ingredients to create some of the nation’s favourite recipes, seasonings and coatings.

This is a hands-on role supporting the production team to ensure ingredients and finished products consistently meet the required standards for quality, taste and food safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine quality checks on raw ingredients, products during production and finished blends.

• Preparing samples and completing product testing in line with established procedures.

• Conducting taste, appearance, texture and aroma checks against product specifications.

• Following the quality control process and accurately recording test results.

• Identifying and reporting quality concerns, inconsistencies or products outside specification.

• Checking packaging, labelling and batch information for accuracy.

• Working closely with production colleagues to resolve quality issues.

• Following food safety, hygiene, allergen control and health and safety procedures.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong attention to detail and a consistent, methodical approach.

• Good communication, numeracy and record-keeping skills.

• Confidence following written instructions and quality procedures.

• A reliable attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to carry out food sampling and taste testing as part of the role.

• Previous experience in food production or quality control would be advantageous.

Sunday-Thursday 10pm -6am

Friday & Saturday nights off
