Are you an experienced Supply Chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment? Do you enjoy solving complex logistics challenges and ensuring critical equipment is available when it's needed most?
We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support a high-profile fixed-wing aviation programme, ensuring the timely delivery, repair and availability of aircraft parts and components that are essential to operational readiness.

About the Role

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will take ownership of assigned aircraft parts and material requirements, managing demand, repairs, deliveries and supplier performance to keep operations running efficiently.
Working closely with engineering, maintenance, logistics and customer teams, you'll proactively identify supply risks, develop solutions to material shortages and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned aircraft parts and material requirements on a daily basis.
  • Process purchase, repair and replenishment requests.
  • Prioritise supply demands based on required delivery dates.
  • Analyse and resolve supply shortfalls, delays and material shortages.
  • Escalate delivery risks and performance issues where required.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on missed delivery targets and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop alternative sourcing and supply solutions for unavailable components.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and support organisations.
  • Lead and participate in supply chain meetings to ensure successful programme delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Mentor junior team members and share supply chain best practice.
  • Provide expert guidance on long-term material planning and programme requirements.
  • Support operational activities outside standard working hours when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement or Material Planning.
  • Experience managing inventory, repairs, supplier performance or aerospace components.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Essential Requirements

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
  • Five years' UK residency.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Experience

  • Aerospace, defence, aviation or engineering industry experience.
  • Experience supporting complex operational or maintenance programmes.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, repair cycles and supplier management processes.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Confidence in managing supply chain issues from identification through to resolution
  • A commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement
