About this role

About the Client

Our Client delivers temporary electrical services to construction projects and is looking to strengthen its presence across Bristol, Swindon and the surrounding region. This opportunity would suit a capable electrician who wants greater responsibility and the chance to help develop regional operations.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation, inspection and testing on an established Bristol project with approximately two years remaining.

  • Install sub-mains, complete mains terminations, and undertake SWA cable installation and cable pulling.

  • Support the installation and maintenance of temporary site power distribution, lighting and associated electrical services.

  • Liaise confidently with principal contractors and site management to coordinate work and meet project requirements.

  • Organise workload, materials and resources safely and efficiently, supporting a small team where required.

  • Take increasing ownership of site activities while developing the skills needed for a future supervisory role.

Qualifications

  • Ideally a JIB Approved Electrician, or a time-served equivalent, with relevant electrical qualifications.

  • Inspection and testing qualification, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, with the ability to complete installation testing.

  • Valid ECS card.

  • Essential commercial or industrial construction site experience, including substantial installation work involving SWA cables, sub-mains and mains terminations.

  • Temporary electrical services experience would be advantageous; candidates with a strong relevant electrical background and supervisory potential will also be considered.

  • Reliable, proactive, safety-conscious and commercially aware, with strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to Bristol and undertake physically demanding installation work.

Benefits

  • A planned development route towards a Supervisor position during 2027, dependent on performance and competence.

  • An initial assignment on an established project with approximately two years remaining.

  • Opportunities to take greater responsibility for organising work and supporting a small team.

  • Potential longer-term involvement in regional projects across Bristol, Swindon, Gloucester, Oxford and South Wales.
