The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join an established manufacturing business specialising in the production of signage and display solutions, based in Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their Health & Safety career who is looking to build on their existing experience, develop their technical knowledge and make a genuine impact within a busy manufacturing environment.

The business is looking for someone who can build positive relationships across the company, work closely with operational teams and help promote a strong, practical approach to Health & Safety.

The Role

Working alongside the wider operational team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your experience across Health & Safety within a manufacturing setting.

Your responsibilities are expected to include:

• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Helping promote a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the business.
• Working closely with operational teams to encourage safe working practices.
• Supporting risk assessments and the identification of workplace hazards.
• Assisting with workplace inspections and monitoring compliance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Helping maintain accurate Health & Safety documentation and records.
• Supporting the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Assisting with Health & Safety training, awareness and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We're looking for someone who is proactive, approachable and keen to develop their career in Health & Safety.

You'll ideally have:

• Some previous experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within manufacturing, engineering or a similar operational environment.
• A NEBOSH or IOSH qualification, or be working towards a relevant qualification.
• A practical, hands-on approach to Health & Safety.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with colleagues across different departments.
• The ability to engage operational teams and encourage safe working practices.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and the confidence to take ownership of your development.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who can fit into the culture of the business, work collaboratively with the operational team and help make Health & Safety a shared priority.
