We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Resistant Materials Teacher to join a prestigious independent school in the Pocklington area on a full-time basis from 2nd November 2026 until 27th November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students and contribute to a well-resourced and supportive learning environment.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a strong background in Design Technology, particularly Resistant Materials.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective Resistant Materials lessons to secondary-aged students.
* Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills development.
* Create a safe, positive, and inclusive workshop environment, ensuring all health and safety requirements are met.
* Assess, monitor, and support student progress, providing constructive feedback to help learners achieve their potential.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a high-quality educational experience and positive school culture.

Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Resistant Materials and/or Design Technology at secondary level.
* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for practical and creative education.
* Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate, engage, and inspire students of varying abilities.
