Class 2 Driver Wanted - No Sweeper Experience Required

We're recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join a well-established operation in East Renfrewshire.

If you've got a valid Class 2 (Category C) licence and you're looking for a stable, long-term driving role with consistent hours, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll be responsible for operating a specialist road sweeper vehicle across a busy operational site, helping to keep roads, pathways and working areas clean, safe and presentable. No previous sweeper experience is required as full training will be provided.

This role would suit an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for something different from traditional multi-drop, trunking or heavy distribution work. You'll be based predominantly on one site, with no customer deliveries and no long-distance driving.

The Role
As a Class 2 Driver, you'll:

• Operate a specialist mechanical sweeper vehicle safely and effectively
• Keep roads, pathways, car parks and operational areas clean and clear
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and safety checks
• Identify and report any vehicle or site issues
• Support environmental and dust-control measures
• Carry out minor site maintenance duties when required
• Follow all site Health & Safety procedures
• Maintain high standards across the site at all times

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph card
• Good safety awareness
• Reliable and dependable attitude
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Willingness to learn a specialist vehicle

Previous sweeper experience is not required. Full training will be given.

Commutable From
Glasgow, Paisley, Newton Mearns, Giffnock, Clarkston, Barrhead, East Kilbride and surrounding areas.
