Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable automotive dealership in Maidstone, Kent, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join its professional and supportive team. This Vehicle Technician role offers a competitive basic salary of up to £38,000, a 40-hour working week and excellent long-term career prospects within the motor trade.

As a Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults efficiently
• Completing MOT repairs and assessments
• Fitting tyres, brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension components and other mechanical parts
• Carrying out fast-fit services, including wheel alignment and tyre fitting
• Maintaining accurate repair records
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Advising customers on vehicle maintenance requirements and future repairs

The successful Vehicle Technician will have:

• An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification, or be time-served
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar automotive role
• Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment
• A willingness to learn and keep up to date with automotive technology
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
• A full UK driving licence
