We're recruiting Manufacturing Assemblers to join a leading defence and space technology manufacturer in Portsmouth, supporting the build of advanced electronic and electro-optic systems used in cutting-edge applications.

This role is ideal for candidates with assembly, electronics, soldering, manufacturing, cleanroom, microscope, or precision engineering experience who enjoy detail-focused work and handling small components.

What you'll be doing:

• Assembling small, high-precision components and sub-assemblies
• Working from drawings and work instructions
• Using hand tools, microscopes and precision assembly equipment
• Carrying out inspections and quality checks
• Operating specialist manufacturing equipment including wire bonding systems (training provided where required)
• Working to strict quality and engineering standards

What we're looking for:

• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Experience working with small or delicate components
• Ability to follow technical instructions and drawings
• Electronics, soldering, cleanroom, PCB, optical, medical device, jewellery or precision manufacturing backgrounds are all of interest

Shifts & Pay

• Days: £17.50 per hour PAYE + £2.93 holiday pay
• Late Shift (25% uplift): £21.86 per hour PAYE + £3.66 holiday pay
• 4-on-4-off Days (30% uplift): £22.75 per hour PAYE + £3.81 holiday pay

Successful candidates will complete a practical dexterity assessment and interview process before joining the team.
