Management Accountant | Harrogate | £50,000 + Hybrid

This is a chance to join a well-established professional services business in Harrogate as their Management Accountant. You’ll report directly to the Finance Director, who is genuinely keen to train and develop the right person. What you’ll be doing

• Owning the month-end process and producing management accounts
• Preparing reporting and analysis for the FD and leadership team
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and journals
• Supporting year-end and working with the auditors
• Managing and developing a junior team member
• Getting involved in ad hoc projects and process improvements as you grow into the role

 

What they’re looking for

• Experience producing management accounts, ideally in a services environment
• Part or newly qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA), or qualified by experience
• Someone who enjoys helping others learn, as you’ll be supporting a junior colleague
• Strong Excel skills and a curious, hands-on approach
• Ambition to keep progressing with the backing of an experienced FD
