Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a Vehicle Technician to join our independent automotive service centre in Bromyard. This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary of £30,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Working alongside our friendly workshop team, the Vehicle Technician will benefit from a modern working environment, strong long-term prospects and no weekend working. We welcome applications from qualified and time-served Technicians.

Duties:

• The Vehicle Technician will carry out fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repairs on customers’ vehicles.
• Accurately diagnose faults and report vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance to the Workshop Manager.
• Complete all work to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
• Work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
• Contribute towards team targets while maintaining consistently high standards of workmanship.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician is preferred.
• Technicians with extensive time-served practical experience will be considered, even without formal qualifications.
• An IMI or NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent, would be advantageous.
• The successful Vehicle Technician must hold a full UK driving licence with minimal points.
• A valid Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence would be beneficial but is not essential, as training can be provided.
• You must be committed, reliable and able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are required.
