Highway Engineer

Design Engineer - Highways, Hertfordshire
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client for a Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of highway schemes across Hertfordshire.
 
You'll work closely with senior engineers and delivery teams, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of highways projects in a collaborative and supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their engineering career within a major highways service contract.
 
Key Responsibilities
·Supporting highway design and the preparation of technical documentation
·Assisting with project planning, coordination and delivery
·Ensuring designs comply with DMRB, TSRGD, CDM and local standards
·Coordinating with internal teams, clients and statutory bodies
·Supporting cost estimates, risk management and programme updates
 
What Our Client Is Looking For
·Experience or a background in highways engineering or infrastructure
·A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field
·Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
·Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
·A willingness to learn and develop within a structured team
