HGV Technician

We are seeking a Day Shift HGV Technician to join our busy commercial vehicle fleet workshop in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Day Shift HGV Technician seeking sociable Monday-to-Friday hours, a modern working environment and excellent employee benefits.

Benefits:

• £37,000 basic salary
• £3,500 annual bonus
• £200 guarantee for the first three months
• Monday-to-Friday, 40-hour day shift
• Working hours between 07:00 and 17:00
• No evening or weekend working

Duties:

• Carry out diagnostics, servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on HGVs
• Work in accordance with manufacturer specifications and repair standards
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle faults
• Complete service and repair documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Support colleagues with general workshop duties
• Work efficiently to achieve productivity targets while maintaining high-quality workmanship

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar commercial vehicle maintenance role
• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance
• Full valid HGV licence
• Strong knowledge of HGV diagnostics, repairs and maintenance
• Experience using commercial vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Positive attitude and reliable approach to workload
