Local Engineer

Our client is seeking a Local Engineer to support the design and delivery of highway improvement schemes within an urban environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to practical, compliant and constructible highways projects, with a December start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver highway improvement schemes in urban settings
• Produce practical, compliant and constructible highway designs
• Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to prepare accurate technical drawings
• Apply strong technical knowledge to support the development of highways solutions
• Contribute to project delivery in accordance with relevant standards and requirements
• Work collaboratively with project teams and relevant stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• Experience in the design and delivery of highway improvement schemes
• Strong technical knowledge of highways engineering and urban road design
• Proficiency in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
• Understanding of relevant highways standards and design requirements
• Ability to produce practical, compliant and constructible designs
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project environment
