Senior Scientist Toxicology

We are recruiting for a Senior Scientist to join a growing Toxicology group on behalf of our client, based in Edinburgh. This role involves leading research and development projects in toxicology, with a strong focus on innovative scientific methods. The Senior Scientist will be responsible for designing and overseeing toxicological studies, acting as study director, analysing data, and ensuring project objectives are met in line with regulatory standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and providing scientific expertise will be key components of the role.

This Senior Scientist role is a senior laboratory-based role requiring expertise in preclinical toxicology, cell-based and biochemical assays, GLP and non-GLP study conduct, and you will play a key role in advancing project goals. 

Skills & Experience

• PhD or equivalent experience gained in Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalysis, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related.
• Proven experience in drug discovery within CRO, pharma or biotech environment. 
• Experience working under GLP regulations and the ability to train others. You will also have experience acting as Study Director on GLP studies. 
• Experience with cell based and biochemical toxicology assays.
