What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside teachers to implement individual learning strategies and help pupils access the curriculum.
Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Encouraging pupils to develop their independence, confidence, communication and social skills.
Helping pupils manage their emotions and behaviour through positive, consistent and supportive approaches.
Monitoring pupil engagement and progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to teaching staff.
Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and other relevant professionals to ensure pupils receive appropriate support.
Adapting activities and approaches to suit individual learning styles, abilities and developmental needs.
Promoting a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every pupil feels valued and supported.
Following safeguarding procedures and contributing to the overall wellbeing and development of pupils.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is essential.
A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.
Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs, communication difficulties or behavioural challenges.
A patient, empathetic and resilient approach, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
The ability to follow individual support plans and implement targeted learning strategies.
A proactive and flexible attitude, with the confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
A relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous, alongside experience delivering targeted interventions or working within a specialist SEND provision.
Why Apply?
Competitive daily rate of £105.
