Senior Engineer - Civil Engineering Scheme
Location: Cambridgeshire
Rate: £375-425 per day - CIS or Ltd company available
Duration: 6 months, rolling
 
About the Role:
 
Are you a freelance Senior Engineer looking for your next contract?
We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a civil engineering scheme in Cambridgeshire. This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident with take-offs, material management and quality systems to take a lead role within the engineering team.
You'll be responsible for the technical and quality side of the works, making sure materials are accurately quantified and ordered, and that ITPs are in place and followed.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
·Producing quantity take-offs from drawings and models.
·Managing materials, including scheduling, ordering and tracking deliveries against programme.
·Creating and developing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and associated check sheets.
·Leading and mentoring site engineers on setting out and quality control.
·Making sure works are delivered to specification and quality records are kept up to date.
·Working closely with the Agent, commercial team and subcontractors.
 
Essential Requirements:
 
·Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on civil engineering schemes.
·Experience producing take-offs and managing materials.
·Experience creating and developing ITPs.
·EUSR 1 & 2- Essential
·First Aid (desirable)
