Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician

Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Annual Salary: £35,000p.a. - £40,000p.a. + Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm / One Saturday in Three  8.00am to 12.30pm

Contract Type: Full time, permanent

Our client based in Cambridge is looking for a Motor Vehicle Technician to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

As Motor Vehicle Technician you will be responsible for:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on Renault, Dacia and Alpine vehicles
• Assist with servicing and repair work across Honda and Mazda where required
• Perform advanced fault finding using manufacturer diagnostic systems and specialist tools
• Complete vehicle health checks and reports accurately
• Undertake warranty work in line with manufacturer standards
• Carry out MOT testing (if qualified), brake repairs, tyre fitting and air conditioning servicing
• Work closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer satisfaction

An ideal candidate for the Motor Vehicle Technician will have:

• Level 3 NVQ (or higher equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Renault accreditation or previous franchised dealership experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working with modern vehicle systems and manufacturer diagnostic equipment
• Full UK Driving Licence
• MOT Tester qualification would be an advantage.
