Capital Accountant

Hours

1-2 days/week on-site (negotiable)

37hr/week

Day to Day 

• Monitor capital budgets, expenditure and forecasts. 
• Prepare capital budget monitoring reports. 
• Support year-end accounts and audit processes. 
• Maintain the fixed asset register and capital financing records.
• Work with budget holders to investigate variances and resolve financial issues. 

Requirements (qualifications/experience)

• Experience in capital accounting, ideally within local government.
• Knowledge of capital expenditure, fixed assets and capital financing.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
