About this role

Job Title:
Project Manager – Engineering & Manufacturing

Location:
Farsley area, West Yorkshire

Salary:
£(phone number removed) per annum

Benefits:
Half day Friday.

The Opportunity:
An established engineering manufacturer is seeking a Project Manager to oversee customer projects involving specialist machinery and equipment.

This role offers responsibility across the full project lifecycle, working with technical and operational teams to turn customer requirements into successfully delivered equipment.

It would suit someone who enjoys a hands-on manufacturing environment, building customer relationships and keeping complex projects moving.

The Role:
You will manage multiple projects, balancing customer expectations with production priorities and commercial requirements.

Working closely with colleagues and external suppliers, you will establish delivery plans, monitor progress and address issues as they arise. You will remain involved through installation and handover, ensuring the right people, materials and information are available at each stage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of projects from initial handover to completion.

  • Coordinating technical, production and supplier activities.

  • Keeping delivery plans and project expenditure under control.

  • Managing customer communication and changes to agreed requirements.

  • Resolving obstacles and maintaining momentum across several live projects.

  • Supporting improvements to planning, communication and delivery.

The position is primarily site-based, with limited travel.

About You:
You will have experience managing projects within an engineering or manufacturing business, ideally involving bespoke machinery, industrial process equipment or other technically complex products.

You should be comfortable discussing engineering requirements, working with different departments and making decisions when priorities change.

A practical approach, commercial awareness and confidence dealing directly with customers will be central to your success. You will also need experience using project planning tools to organise work and track delivery.

Relevant experience could come from special-purpose machinery, industrial automation, process plant or comparable equipment manufacturing environments.

Why Apply?
This opportunity combines project ownership with the chance to make a visible contribution to an established engineering business.

With a £55,000 salary, a half-day Friday and scope to improve how projects are delivered, it offers an appealing next step for a Project Manager who enjoys both technical coordination and customer-facing responsibility.
