About this role

Job Title:
Project Manager

Location:
Pudsey

Salary:
£45,000-£50,000+

Benefits:
Early Friday finish, a choice of working patterns and the ability to accrue time off through Friday afternoon working, subject to company arrangements.

The Company:
A family-owned engineering and manufacturing business with a strong forward order book and plans for growth is seeking a Project Manager to take ownership of complex capital equipment delivery.

The business offers an environment where you can work closely with colleagues across departments and contribute to improvements in how projects are run.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday, 7.30am–4pm, with Friday 7.30am–12pm.

An alternative pattern is available: Monday to Thursday, 8.15am–5pm, with Friday 8.15am–11.45am.

Job Description:
The Project Manager will lead bespoke equipment contracts from order handover through to commissioning and customer acceptance, taking responsibility for cost, quality and delivery.

You will manage concurrent projects at different stages, maintain schedules, control scope changes, monitor budgets and communicate directly with customers.

As Project Manager, you will coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and service teams, driving milestones and purchasing requirements rather than simply reporting progress.

You will also manage risks, coordinate factory acceptance testing and ensure documentation is complete at handover. Travel requirements are limited.

Skills & Experience:
For this Project Manager position, you will need:

  • Proven experience delivering complex capital equipment or engineered-to-order projects.
  • Strong scheduling skills using MS Project or an equivalent tool.
  • Experience managing customer relationships, project costs and change control.
  • The ability to clarify ambiguous requirements and drive work across departments.
  • A proactive approach to resolving technical, material and supplier issues.

Experience improving project management processes would be particularly valuable. Backgrounds in automation, food and beverage, chemical processing or other bespoke equipment environments are welcome. Pressure vessel knowledge and formal project management qualifications are desirable.

Why Should You Apply?
This Project Manager opportunity offers ownership, autonomy and the chance to influence how projects are delivered within a growing manufacturer.

You will join a business with a strong order book, a family-oriented culture and an early Friday finish. The role suits someone who enjoys tackling delivery challenges while introducing practical improvements.
