Welding Inspector / NDT Technician
I'm currently recruiting for a Welding Inspector / NDT Technician to join a leading manufacturing business supporting critical UK defence programmes.
This is a hands-on position working within a fabrication and machining environment, undertaking welding inspection, visual examination and NDT activities across complex engineered components.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct visual weld inspection activities
- Perform MPI and DPI examinations
- Review welding documentation including WPSs and WPQRs
- Support welding quality investigations and NCR activities
- Produce inspection reports and quality documentation
- Liaise with production, welding and quality teams
- Ensure compliance with customer and industry standards
What We're Looking For
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
- PCN Level 2 MPI (MT)
- PCN Level 2 DPI (PT)
- Experience within fabrication, welding or heavy engineering environments
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding documentation
- Knowledge of welding quality standards and inspection requirements
Desirable
- PCN Level 2 UT
- Supplier quality or auditing experience
- Defence, nuclear, marine or heavy engineering sector experience
