Classroom Talent is working in partnership with a secondary school in Slough, Berkshire, seeking to appoint an experienced Maths Teacher from January 2027.

JOB DESCRIPTION – Maths Teacher

• Maths Teacher – £37,647 to £54,328 (MPS2–UPS3 Fringe Pay Scale)
• January 2027 start – Permanent, full-time position employed directly by the school
• Teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated Maths lessons
• Plan and prepare lessons that support students of varying abilities
• Monitor, assess and track student progress and attainment
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE Mathematics examinations
• Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages learning and achievement
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Maths and wider department, contributing to curriculum planning and development

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION – Maths Teacher

• Qualified Maths Teacher with QTS or QTLS
• Previous experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE Mathematics
• Passionate, enthusiastic and engaging classroom practitioner
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons that engage, challenge and support students of different abilities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a department
• Genuine passion for Mathematics and commitment to improving student achievement
