Design Manager

Design Manager/ Senior Design Manager – Freelance – Tier 1 contractor

This leading Tier 1, national contractor has an immediate requirement for a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager to work on a 6–9-month freelance contract initially to support the project team on 3 hospital refurbishment projects in South and East London.

For this Design Manager role, you will have worked for Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors on a range of general contracting projects consisting of education, specifically the DfE framework, hospitals, met police and other public sector projects.

This freelance contract will be over 3 live hospital refurbishments up to £8m so it will be advantageous to have worked on healthcare projects or occupied and live operating environments.

Design Managers with experience of following a project through design to site and completion. Tier 1 contractor experience is not essential however, you will have worked as a Design Manager involved on a project of similar value or larger.

A UK construction qualification is required for this role and at least 10yrs working as a Design Manager for main contractors on projects as above mentioned. Another benefit will be to have worked on PCSA projects and have both live projects and preconstruction on your CV.
