Contract: Permanent – Full Time
Salary: £65,000 – £85,000 per annum (DOE) 

The OpportunityService Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor / Project Manager to join a growing, multidisciplinary Construction and Built Environment Consultancy based in London.

Our client provides specialist services across Building Surveying, Project Management, Engineering, Cost Consultancy and Fire Safety, working on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and public sector projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor or Project Manager looking to take ownership of substantial construction projects, with opportunities for further career progression.

The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering a variety of construction and refurbishment projects, ranging in value from approximately £500,000 to £50 million.

Projects will include major refurbishment schemes, historic building renovations, commercial office fit-outs, fire safety improvements and façade remediation works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage construction and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion.
• Act as Project Manager, Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent or Lead Consultant.
• Oversee project budgets, programmes, procurement and contract administration.
• Administer JCT contracts and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants and contractors.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced Building Surveyor or Construction Project Manager with a consultancy background.
• Relevant qualification in Building Surveying, Construction or Project Management.
• MRICS qualification desirable, although candidates working towards chartership will be considered.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts is essential.
• Experience managing refurbishment, remediation or commercial construction projects.
• Experience acting as Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent or Project Manager.
• Excellent communication, organisation and commercial awareness.
• Ability to independently manage projects and coordinate professional teams.
